About DJI Gear Portal

Who is behind this site

My name is Marco Rossi. I am a part-time photographer and part-time traveler, and DJI gear has become a regular part of how I work and explore.

Photography pulled me into drones — the ability to get a perspective that is simply impossible from the ground changed the way I think about a shot. Travel made it practical — a foldable drone fits in a bag and goes everywhere. Spending time researching which DJI gear was actually worth buying, and which specs were marketing noise, led me to start writing it all down.

That is what DJI Gear Portal is — a place where I document what I have learned about DJI's product lineup, how different drones and gear hold up in real use, and which ones make sense for different budgets and use cases.

What this site covers

DJI Gear Portal focuses on DJI's consumer and prosumer product lineup — drones, cameras, audio equipment, and gimbals. The guides and blog articles on this site are written to help people cut through the spec sheets and figure out what actually matters when choosing DJI gear.

The site also covers how DJI drones are used in professional contexts — construction, real estate, agriculture, inspections, and more. These are areas where drone technology is genuinely changing how work gets done, and they are worth understanding even if you are not a commercial operator yourself.
